This is a well known story about four friends who were so desperate to have Jesus see their friend that they took out a piece of a neighbor's roof to lower him down on a mat. Jesus sees the man but he does not cure him immediately. Instead, Jesus forgives him. So while the four men are still holding their ropes, people begin to murmur and argue among themselves about Jesus' authority to forgive. How many times do we interrupt grace to be dogma correct?
